I believe every relationship is unique and demands a different way. The Christian Bible speaks to the concept of one human being being submissive to another. The Apostle Paul speaks of wives being submissive to their husbands, and husbands being loving leaders to their wives. Women and men are both to submit to the Lord. Indeed the American religious "old south" model emulates this concept, but unfortunately has often degenerated into a control freak or even abusive husband and an abused wife. The old guard emulated the military model, with its various chains of command, and pecking orders. It is a system of Daddy's, boys, son's and families. The modern pansexual BDSM and gay leather movements generally follows a european style S&M. A system of dark dungeons, cold discipline, Masters and Mistresses and slaves. A system born in the literary images of the Frenchman, The Marquis de Sade. It is a model that majors on the fantasy role play of slavery.
A NEW MODEL for D/s I am of another mind. My thoughts and patterns of Dominance and submission are based more in eastern thought and philosophy than the western european style. I am not rejecting christian models in doing this, indeed I embrace the model of "Loving Leader and serving submissive" of the Bible. What I reject is the American puritanical or religious, old south bastardization of this beautiful biblical teaching. It is interesting to note that the Christian Bible is actually an eastern document. The holy land and its teachers and writers are all residents of what we call "The Near East" vs China and Japan which we call "The Far East". The mind set and approach to reasoning is very similar. We in the west who think with deductive logic given to us by the Greeks have a very difficult time understanding the eastern mind and it's inductive approach to reasoning; therefore resulting in what I feel have been the gross misinterpretations of biblical scripture by the westerner especially in America. I therefore bring forth a new model for the female submissive, what I would call "The Geisha Model".
The word "geisha" literally means "beautiful or artistic person". The geisha is a very intelligent and educated woman. She is one who is skilled in the arts of providing a fantasy. She has been schooled to make ones dreams come true, she has a gift to make the unreal real. She is an entertainer, she plays music, she sings, she dances. She is a poet, an artist with arranging flowers. She can converse with great knowledge and intelligence in virtually all subject matters, whether it be politics, business or pleasure. The most important ability she has is to make her gentleman feel as if he is king of the world, that he is unique in her eyes. Geishas train for many years to be skilled in these arts. The art is learned from one to another. The new geisha is an apprentice and she is called a "maiko". So if you are a new submissive and you wish to learn the eastern style of D/s, then you would begin as a "maiko", and you would devote yourself to training from an experienced lifestyle "geisha".
