What brings me here?

Having the ability to temporarily capture the mind of another and help it form is a rare chance that is given to very few. It humbles me when i see how i have changed a person's view of their world. Watching the enlightenment as they discover that they are empowered to direct their own journey, bringing that "ah-ha" moment, is truly delightful. It reminds us that it does not matter what brings a person, but only what they leave. You may interpret that as -- you can leave something behind or you can take something with you, or both. What matters is that you have made a difference with yourself and hopefully with others.

One of my favorite quotes:

"Knowing others is intelligence,
knowing yourself is true wisdom.

Mastering others is strength,
Mastering yourself is true power"

~~ Lao-Tzu

If i have an opportunity to lead another to the threshold of their own mind, then i have acted wisely. My purpose is not to have you believe how i believe, but to discover that you must forge your own path on your journey, and provide you the tools to make directional changes, stops, and starts. We cannot follow someone else's path. That was one of my first lessons in this lifestyle and continues to be a message that i try to share with others.

Recently, a colleague of mine wrote this message to me:

"Thanks for being so open with your own journey.
It was amazing to see such passion ...
I hope to be able to help others go that far."

Delight in the journey, not in the destination ~~~
